Club Grading
The 2 main Club competitions are the Club Aggregate and the Head to Head. The results of both of these will be displayed in a league format but in addition, each shooter will be allocated a Club Grade so that we can group shooters of a similar ability in order to enable a Grade competition within the league competition.

At the end of each year a shooter's percentage points from each round of both competitions will be totalled, and then divided by the total number of rounds they have shot, to give an average percentage score. This will be the basis for allocating grades for the following year.

For 2014 and onwards the Grading bands will be as follows:

                                       Grade A - 85 to 100%
                                       Grade B - 69 to 84.99%
                                       Grade C -   0 to 68.99%

New members will automatically be placed in Grade C but this will be revised after they have shot 4 rounds. Their Grade may then be changed to reflect their current ability..

Awards will be given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd in Grades A and B. At present we will not be giving prizes for Grade C. This is because, in our experience, shooters who fall into the C Grade generally haven't competed in sufficient rounds to make the competition meaningful. If circumstances change then awards will be given.

The final "average percentage" for one year forms the starting point for the Most Improved Shooter competition for the next. Details of this competition can be seen by following the "Most Improved" link above.

These Grades are Club Grades Only and should not be confused with BFTA Grades. For details of BFTA Grades, please refer to the BFTA website.
